Add favicons to Google search result

Feature added: April 25, 2007


Enhance search results by adding the favicon next to each search result (if available). Favicons make it easier to browse thru search results, recognize your favorite websites and breathe more life into that dull search page.

When enabled, CustomizeGoogle displays the the favicon.ico (if it finds one) for each search result.

If Google gives a malware warning, then the favicon will alert you of this.

Note: It is possible to send cookies using favicons. You can block 3rd party cookies by setting network.cookie.cookieBehavior preference to "1" in Firefox. Type about:config into the address bar and press Enter.
